We dedicate this album to the memory of Stan Goldstein

Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark and Chris Hillman have written a new, contemporary chapter that forges a link with their legendary pasts and the promise of their futures. They're at once a new group and an old one - these guys are among the few able to mirror the thoughts and feelings of the two different generations coming of age in two different worlds.

The words and sounds of McGuinn, Clark & Hillman flowed naturally during these Miami sessions, rising from the spirit of camaraderie that began to take shape more than a decade ago. That spirit has grown as they have, as we all have, as we all will.

This is an album of new American music, a kind which three artists drawing from their experiences as they look ahead. Ron Albert was right when he said their music bridges the Fifties and Eighties. There is a timeless quality in McGuinn, Clark and Hillman that renders analysis insignificant. More importantly, it deserves to be heard by everyone.
