Willner would like to thank: Garnier, Frisell, Keltner, Burger, Scheinman and Pettibone for the thousands of goose bumps. These musicians should be running the world. And to the cast of “Hellzapoppin’” – Callari, Buie, Fox and Bowers – thank you for everything…to the coffee king Greenberg – your enthusiasm and encouragement was invaluable…. much love. And the Oscar goes to E. Liljestrand – the hardest working man in show biz…mucho thanks Sr. Overby for his presence and matchmaking…and to L.W., for your beautiful songs, voice and courage – thank you – and to you too Pee Wee (our mascot). I’ll be seeing you.

These songs, and many more, were written at the Safari Inn in Burbank, CA. My sincere gratitude goes out to Marvin Etzioni for the kitchen tapes… to Michael Dumas who engineered the basic tracks at Radio Records in Hollywood and captured the heart and soul of my scratch vocals. And to Taras, Jim Christies and Dougie who were there in the beginning and forged the foundation of these recordings. Humble thanks to Hal and Eric for their ingenious perception. To Vanessa and Jason for coming on board. To the brilliant artists who made these songs stand tall. To Jeff Greenberg for his gracious hospitality. To Gavin for the sparkle and to the many angels who dropped by to listen. Endearing thanks to Frankie C., Kerri, Rosemary, Frank Riley, Craig, Jamie and especially to Luke and everyone at Lost Highway for keeping the wheels spinning. Heartfelt thanks to the women behind the men and the men behind the women. Love and blessings to Mama Jordan, Dad, my brother, sister and extended family. There aren’t enough words to thank Tom, my love, who has changed my life or the better…I am eternally grateful. In memory of my mother, Lucille, and my Aunt Alexa…two of the most important women in my life.
