Every album recorded by The Ventures has fast hit the best selling charts.  It is remarkable that their first album, Walk, Don’t Run, which contains the hit that introduced them so sensationally to the country, is still high on the national charts.

This show of enthusiasm for The Ventures among album buyers testifies to the tremendous popularity their readily identifiable style and sound has achieved, not only in America but in many other parts of the world.

The Colorful Ventures is the group’s fourth album and, like the others, contains twelve varied songs which they have arranged, performed and recorded so that their very best effort could be presented.

Don Wilson and Bob Bogle (The Ventures) wish to express their thanks to Nokie Edwards (bass and guitar) and Howie Johnson (drums) for their outstanding work on this as well as their previous three albums; and to Hank Levine for his excellent arranging and conducting on those numbers where orchestral backing was used.
